One of our speakers, animal rights activist Kevin Lahey, is bringing his business to VegFest! Vegan Nation sells vegan hats, pins, and T-shirts, while contributing a portion of their proceeds to non-profit animal rights groups.
Off Leash Apparel is coming to VegFest! This vegan-owned local business’ main focus is on animal rescue, adoption and liberation. They donate 10% of profits to local animal shelters and rescues in the area, and another 10% to national animal organizations including Operation Glass Walls and In Defense of Animals.
We are extremely excited to announce that the Herbivore Clothing Company has offered to donate in-kind to the Rochester VegFest this year! We look forward to having them involved with us!
The Herbivore Clothing Company approach has always been to show veganism as a positive choice that gives you back so much more than you give up. As they say, “Compassion Is Invincible!”

Did you miss your chance to get an official VegFest T-shirt? We are doing a second run – and including tank tops and kids’ sizes too!
Our Dinner and a Movie event Friday night was a huge success! Fifty-five people came out for Greek spreads and bread dip (thanks for the donation, Voula!), Buddha Bowls from Red Fern, and cupcakes from Happy Cakes, followed by a showing of Speciesism: The Movie, and then a talk by its director Mark Devries. Thank you to everyone who attended, everyone who bid in the silent auction, and to the item donors. Thank you to Cam F. Awesome for MC-ing and Mark Devries for bringing his film and speaking. We were glad other VegFest speakers Mike Stura, Kerry Graff, Ted Barnett, and Jo-Anne MacArthur could attend.
Thank you to Jack & Meg for donating two tickets. Thank you to organizers and everyone who helped out or brought stuff either to use, eat, or donate: Mary, Bubbie, Deb, Kim, Darren, Mike, Leanne, Robyn, Varun, Andy, Michael, Rosemary, and Ted. People helped in so many big and little ways I can’t possibly list everything everyone did.
Thank you to Field Roast for donating a T-shirt, tote bag, 2 pint glasses, and a gift card for our raffle! Field roast makes vegan meats in Seattle.
